A Passenger’s Report: Unique Eco Adventure in Jervis Bay

I am a very happy return customer of Dolphin Wild Cruises in Jervis Bay NSW Australia. I was so impressed by their dolphin and whale watch cruise that I enjoyed last May that I hopped on board again today, for another experience of eco tourism at its very best.

Being eco certified, Dolphin Wild Cruises operates with as little impact on the environment as possible. It’s clear that each member of their friendly and knowledgeable crew has great respect for beautiful Jervis Bay: respect for its clean water, pristine beaches and abundant marine life.

Today we cruised in their comfortable boat, towards the beautiful and unspoilt Beecroft Peninsula: the stunning north shore of Jervis Bay. This peninsula boasts the spectacular sheer cliffs of Point Perpendicular, rising up to 100 metres above sea level. Last May, I chose the Dolphin Wild eco adventure that combines dolphin and whale watching with up close exploration of these amazing cliffs: so close, you can hear your own echo.

This time around, the eco tour I was treated to was different but just as wonderful. I chose to see the whales and dolphins again today, and since the conditions were favourable, the crew also surprised us with a barefoot visit to Long Beach: one of the stunning and secluded beaches of the Beecroft Peninsula.

It was exciting to experience a beach landing today, as the crew skillfully glided the boat amazingly close to the white sand: allowing us to effortlessly disembark right onto the beach. The clear turquoise waters stretched as far as the eye could see and we were treated to the luxury of privacy: no one else was around! The beach is so unspoilt, it could just as easily have been a secluded beach in some remote, tropical paradise. But instead, this experience is a quick drive from either Sydney or Canberra: no passport required!

Thank you, Dolphin Wild Cruises, for another fantastic day out. You are the best cruise operator in Jervis Bay!
